LCLS (pronounced 'Locals') is a rock band that bridges nostalgic 90s indie-rock with modern melodic bedroom Lo-fi. In early 2024, the Austin-based quartet caught the attention of indie darling Ben Kweller, who promptly signed them to his NoiseCo label. In July, LCLS released the Goner EP, which was well-received in the Austin scene and beyond. Goner was mixed by Adam Gibbs (Black Angels, Heartless Bastards) and mastered by Howie Weinberg (Sonic Youth, Nirvana). A limited edition 7” is available directly from the band and its digital counterpart is available on all streaming platforms.

Drawing inspiration from iconic 90s bands like Pixies, Dinosaur Jr, and Built to Spill, LCLS infuses their music with melodic vocals and fuzzy guitar riffs. Despite the nod to the past, LCLS maintains a contemporary edge, incorporating post-punk and alternative rock elements into their sound.
